Director of Youth Programming

Greetings Young Israel of Scarsdale! Allow us to introduce ourselves!

My name is Yedidya Levy, but you can call me Didi (commonly pronounced “Deedee” but all pronunciations are welcome). I am a proud but mediocre chess player, a former hockey captain, IDF combat soldier and an aspiring clinical psychologist. Above all else, I am a lucky husband and an excited new member of the Scarsdale community.

My name is Miriam Levy. I am an unwavering lover of oreo cookies, a former high school choir head and soccer captain. Before college, I served for 18 months in the IDF’s elite canine unit and I, too, am an aspiring clinical psychologist. I concede that my husband is undoubtedly lucky, but I must also confess that I am just as lucky if not luckier than he is. I am so excited to get to know the Scarsdale family!

Together we look forward to working with members of the synagogue to perpetuate and grow the existing tradition of value-driven and exciting youth programming. Synagogues all over the world represent the richness of our tradition and it is the youth of our communities that will guarantee the continuity of our people. One word of warning for the youth of the community: Be ready for a new year packed with meaningful immersion in tradition, community building, and unforgettable fun. We look forward to meeting all of you!
