The current financial and economic climate is impacting many individuals and families who have never before experienced career and financial challenges that we are facing today. To be sure, it is even impacting members and families of the Young Israel of Scarsdale. In times of crisis, people should always feel that they can turn to their community and synagogue for help and support.

 

The Young Israel of Scarsdale Employment Initiative was formed by the YIS Career Advancement Committee in response to the growing number of people in the community who are facing unemployment or underemployment and the issues that surround that problem. The Committee’s goal is to act as a conduit to help identify job opportunities and networking resources. We would like to draw on the extensive professional diversity and expertise within the YIS community to assist those congregants who need our help.

 

This website provides names of and links to websites, organizations and resources that can assist our members in finding employment and guidance. The website will also provide an updated list of job postings as well as a confidential description of job seekers’ qualifications which will facilitate introductions amongst our shul members.
