Connect to Care
UJA-Federation of New York in conjunction with WJCS created Connect to Care, an initiative that capitalizes on their unique capacity to respond to a communitywide crisis and use their vast network of agencies to leverage the services and strengths of many of the New York area’s most prestigious and effective human-service agencies and Jewish community centers.
Operating from multiservice centers and local synagogues throughout New York City, Westchester, and Long Island, Connect to Care provides access to a wide range of FREE services, including:
· Employment workshops and career-transition services.
· Financial consulting, debt counseling, and budget assistance.
· Legal services.
· Supportive counseling and Jewish spiritual care.
Connect to Care is not your everyday outplacement center. The workshops vary in subjects ranging from resume writing and interviewing to stress reduction and courses in Linkedin. In addition to the services described above, Connect to Care is a place to mingle and network amongst people in similar situations. Its centers provide workstations with computers, conference rooms and lounge areas in a setting that is comfortable, professional and conducive to networking.
The Connect to Care office in Westchester is located at 10 New King Street
Its web site is http://www.wjcs.com/index.php?src=gendocs&ref=ConnecttoCare&category=Jewish%20Community
